Thursday\, June 6\, 2024 – Diane Soucy \nJune 6 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm  $50.00 \nBrownstone is thrilled to announce its upcoming monthly Supper Club in Philadelphia! \nWe are very excited to introduce our community to this month’s guest\, medical freedom advocate and founder of the Activities for Daily Living Center in Philadelphia Diane Soucy.  \nDiane is works closely with Health Freedom\, Pennsylvania to fight legislative battles for medical freedoms in the state. She is also the Founder and CEO of Activities for Daily Living Center\, providing support and services to individuals with autism and their families.  \nDiane will discuss a lawsuit filed by Children’s Health Defense and a group of parents in November of last year (recently dismissed by a judge but looking for ways to pursue)\, which challenges a Philadelphia law that allows minors to consent to vaccination without their parents’ knowledge. Incredibly\, in addition to allowing children 11 and older to consent to vaccination\, in 2021 the Philly Department of Public Health enacted an additional regulation that allowed children to consent to the Covid vax that was only available under emergency use authorization.  \nOur venue\, the festive Las Bugambilias in Philadelphia’s famous Old City district\, offers a buffet of all-you-can-consume Mexican food\, margaritas\, beer\, and wine — all included. Join us for a night of eating and drinking\, meet Brownstone Institute friends\, scholars\, writers\, and benefactors\, and celebrate victories and discuss challenges ahead. Dress is whatever makes you happy — casual is great\, fancy is also wonderful. \n  \nLOCATION & PARKING\nLas Bugambilias\, at 15 S. 3rd St. is near the corner of 3rd and Chestnut Sts\, right off the I-95 and 676 highways.\nOne outdoor parking lot is immediately adjacent to the restaurant ($20-25) and a large indoor lot is around the corner on 4th and Chestnut Sts. ($20-30)\nStreet parking is usually easy to find in the evenings as well (pay at kiosks or through the MeterUp parking app). \n  \nWHERE TO STAY\nIn the 3-block radius around the restaurant you’ll find several 3- and 4-star hotels\, with nightly rates starting as low as $89.\nApple Hostels offers affordable rooms at a location near the venue (33 Bank St). The food is wonderful and the discussion brilliant. Casual and fun\, even if some people come in fancier clothing. \nOur special guest this month is Leslie Manookian\, the founder and president of Health Freedom Defense Fund. Her organization is fresh from an epic victory in a Los Angeles appeals court: the vaccine mandate for school employees was rejected. The grounds are hugely significant: the court said the Covid vaccine mandate did not meet the standards of Jacobson (1905). This is the first major court case in 120 years to curb this power. \nYou must come to hear a first-hand account of the case\, the arguments\, and implications of this huge victory. Keep in mind that Leslie was also behind the court case that struck down the transportation mask mandate. That was a massive victory  And now we have another one. \nWe are so honored to welcome her. You will NOT want to miss this!
