Tom’s writings and scholarship provide deep insights into power structures and how they function both historically and in the present moment on multiple levels of our social\, political and economic lives. \nOur venue\, the festive Las Bugambilias in Philadelphia’s famous Old City district\, offers a buffet of all-you-can-consume Mexican food\, margaritas\, beer\, and wine — all included. Join us for a night of eating and drinking\, meet Brownstone Institute friends\, scholars\, writers\, and benefactors\, and celebrate victories and discuss challenges ahead. Casual and fun\, even if some people come in fancier clothing. \nThis month we are excited to host Sarah Thompson (CCH\, RSHom)\, who will discuss “The Hijacking of American Medicine\,.” Thompson is a scholar in the history of medicine and practicing homeopathist. She will be presenting the core of the ideas in Brownstone’s publication of Harris Coulter’s books on the history of medicine.
