SUMMARY:Brownstone Pittsboro\, NC Supper Club\, May 19: Dianna Lightfoot
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILBrownstone Institute Supper Club\, Pittsboro\, NC \nForest Hall at Chatham Mills \nTuesday\, May 19\, 2026 @ 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM \n$55 includes dinner\, beer and wine. \nDianna Lightfoot\, Policy Director\, North Carolina Physicians for Freedom \nAbout the Talk: \nUnderserving the Underserved: The New Guinea Pigs \nHB67: The Healthcare Workforce Reform Bill: Interstate Licensing Compact\, Foreign Physician Licensing (2025). \nHB67 passed quietly and without major opposition in the state legislature in late 2025. Why? Because almost no one knew about it.  After serving as the go-to group for many legislators and policy leaders for more than four years\, North Carolina Physicians for Freedom (NCPFF)\, North Carolina’s only all-medical-professional 501(c)3 organization\, was not asked to review or comment on HB67. \nNC was only the second state in the nation to approve this law\, Tennessee was the first (and is now working to amend the law).  But now\, the cookie-cutter language of this Bill has swept the nation\, passing or currently being considered in more than 20 states. \nIn part\, HB67 allows foreign physicians to practice in rural areas\, ostensibly compensating for the lack of medical care in rural NC. But HB67 is inherently flawed. NCPFF’s network believes it sets a dangerous precedent for rural health with key concerns being patient safety\, inconsistent standards and unclear supervision.   This topic hits close to home as Chatham and surrounding counties have many rural areas.  Come join the discussion!   \nAbout the Speaker: \nDianna Lightfoot is a health care policy advisor and networking expert with national and international experience. In 2017 she was appointed by the Trump White House to Senior Policy Advisor for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Global Health. In this capacity\, Ms. Lightfoot’s responsibilities included interacting with the Department of Education\, Health and Human Services and the State Department\, coordinating on health-related issues as well as global security\, education reform\, migration\, the environment\, and human trafficking. \nIn 2021\, Dianna co-founded North Carolina Physicians for Freedom (NCPFF)\, where she serves as its current director. NCPFF is a 501 (c) 3 advisory network of physicians and other medical practitioners who seek to support medical freedom\, patient choice\, patient rights\, and medical privacy. \nDianna also advises multiple physician-led policy groups and organizations nationwide. They include U.S. Health and Human Services officials and Frontliners\, a national network of state-based professionals who share mutually beneficial research and information on issues related to healthcare\, education\, child welfare and voter integrity\, among others. \nMs. Lightfoot was Dr. Ben Carson’s National Medical Coalitions Director during his presidential campaign\, and an advisor to the White House Domestic Policy Advisor in the George W. Bush Administration. \nVenue & Details \nForest Hall at Chatham Mills\, 480 Hillsboro Street\, Suite 530\, Pittsboro\, NC \nForest Hall is located in a historic label mill built in the early 1900s\, the venue has wooden floors\, exposed brick walls and large windows. The 3500 square foot hall is located on 32 acres of woods and meadows in historic downtown Pittsboro\, NC- just 20 minutes away from Chapel Hill and 40 minutes from Raleigh or Durham.  Catering is provided by 39 West Catering.  \nTicket Information  \n$55 per person includes a lovely buffet style dinner\, beer\, and wine.  Secure your spot now!

Beer and wine available for purchase. \nSpeaker:  Jennifer Margulis:   Please join us for an evening of interesting conversation about the unsung heroes who quietly (and not-so-quietly) resisted during COVID.  \nAbout the Speaker:  \nJennifer Margulis\, Ph.D.\, is an award-winning science journalist\, book author\, and Fulbright grantee. She writes a popular Substack called Vibrant Life\,  Learn more about her at JenniferMargulis.net \nAbout the Talk:  “We could not comply”: the unsung heroes who quietly (and not-so-quietly) resisted during COVID.   Remembering the heroes who questioned the narrative right from the start. These hidden heroes remained calm and clear-headed\, able to put science\, commonsense\, and ethics above profits\, fear porn\, and the desire for control. But in the face of so much social pressure\, ridicule\, exclusion\, and ostracism\, how did ordinary people find the extraordinary courage not to comply? \nIn this lively and interactive talk by science journalist Jennifer Margulis\, we will answer this question together and learn the recipe for Resisters’ Secret Sauce. \nVenue Location: \nAshland Hills Hotel \n855-482-83102525 Ashland StreetAshland\, Oregon 97520 \nThere is plenty of available parking on-site. \nRegistration: \n$50 per person.  Space is limited so be sure to secure your seat early.  For more information contact Bill at bkindman@mind.net

SUMMARY:Brownstone Supper Club\, West Hartford\, May 20\, 2026: Charlotte Kuperwasser
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILBrownstone West Hartford Supper Club \nWednesday\, May 20\, 2026: Charlotte Kuperwasser \n5:30 – 9:00 pm \nButterfly Restaurant | 831 Farmington Ave | West Hartford\, CT 06119 \nOn Wednesday\, May 20\, 2026\, the beloved West Hartford Supper Club – the first in the nation – is pleased to welcome Dr. Charlotte Kuperwasser\, distinguished Professor in the Department of Developmental\, Molecular\, and Chemical Biology at Tufts University School of Medicine and the Director of Tufts Convergence Laboratory at Tufts. Dr. Kuperwasser is internationally recognized for her expertise in mammary gland biology and breast cancer\, and prevention.  \nButterfly is the venue (the real Chinese stuff) with friends of the Brownstone Institute. Come early for cocktails and meet Brownstone Institute friends\, scholars\, writers\, and benefactors\, and celebrate victories and discuss challenges ahead. The food is wonderful and the discussion brilliant. Casual and fun\, even if some people come in fancier clothing. \nDr. Kuperwasser earned her Bachelor of Science in 1997 and her PhD in 2000\, both from the University of Massachusetts\, Amherst. Following her doctoral studies\, she was a Jane Coffin Childs Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Weinberg at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research at MIT. Dr. Kuperwasser has been recognized with several prestigious fellowships and awards\, including the Howard Hughes Fellowship\, the Merck Fellowship\, the COG/Aventis Young Investigator Award\, and the Natalie V. Zucker Award.  \nDr. Kuperwasser came to national attention with an important peer-reviewed paper that explored the relationship between Covid-19 vaccination and the rise in incidents of cancer. This paper triggered a series of bot attacks on the journal site\, and extreme pressure to censor her findings. Her concerns have been further reinforced with new data that documents a rise of particular cancers up to 2023\, making the issue of national and international concern.  \nDr. Kuperwasser will discuss her findings along with their implications. See you soon!

Drawing on her research and weaving in her own health story coming from a North Carolina medical family\, Tracy will summarize how we got to be the sickest country on earth – including how allopathic medicine evolved\, who else is “in the room” during a doctor visit\, why distrust has skyrocketed\, and how Kennedy’s HHS policies have begun to make a fundamental shift. \nTracy will then introduce a practical root-cause framework to help us set our own health agenda. Once Kennedy joined forces with Trump\, she used her bridge-building and story-telling skills to spearhead the MAHA Voices video series to amplify Kennedy supporter’s stories to millions and help position Kennedy to be HHS Secretary. Motivated by her own COVID awakening journey\, Tracy has elevated the voices of integrative practitioners and independent scientists by recruiting them to speak at national health freedom forums and a “COVID and the Academy” conference as well as both NC Brownstone supper clubs. A speaker herself\, Tracy has challenged prevailing narratives about COVID policies in national forums such as Braver Angels debates and conventions\, where she engaged directly with former NIH Director Francis Collins. She has also spoken to diverse audiences and appeared on a “Why Should I Trust You?” podcast episode with three former CDC officials. SUMMARY:Brownstone Berkeley\, CA Supper Club\, May 26\, 2026: Colin Redemer
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILBerkeley Supper Club\nRevival Bar and Kitchen | 2102 Shattuck Ave. | Berkeley\, CA \n3-course Family Style meal and non-alcoholic beverages | No host bar available\n \n$65 per person \n\nAbout the Speaker: \nColin Redemer is professor at Saint Mary’s College of California and Director of Education at American Reformer. He works at the intersection of classical thought and contemporary life. His focus is on ethical and political philosophy which naturally informs a theory of childhood education\, and the question of what it takes to raise free human beings in an age of accelerating technology. \nAbout the Talk: \nWhat is education actually for? In an age of AI\, algorithmic feeds\, and a public school system that has openly given up on the deeper questions\, the answer has never mattered more — or been more confused. Drawing on classical philosophy\, and a few cautionary tales from the last century\, Colin will offer a vision rooted in Christian anthropology of how to raise human beings who can pick up the technologies of this century with confidence\, and put them down again. \nAbout the Venue: \nRevival Bar and Kitchen is a California Brasserie and Cocktail Lounge. Their food is sustainably sourced with an emphasis on organic ingredients. They use local farms and ranches who raise quality proteins and vegetables to keep their menu superbly tasty and resource efficient. These ideas inform their cocktail and wine program as well. \nRevival is just a few blocks from UC Berkeley\, and easily accessible. There is a BART station on the corner and three parking garages within a few minute stroll.

SUMMARY:Brownstone Pittsburgh Supper Club\, May 27\, 2026: Shawn & Beth Dougherty
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILDeBlaze at 131 | 131 E Main St.\, Carnegie\, PA 15106 \nWednesday\, May 27\, 2026 6:30 – 9 pm  \n$50 includes appetizers and dinner \nShawn and Beth Dougherty \nPittsburgh Brownstone Supper Club is pleased to welcome Shawn and Beth Dougherty to share their story of “Ecological Homesteading: A Grass-Fed Approach”. \nWhat will we eat tomorrow? And how safe will it be? A growing concern about the quality of industrial food is generating practical interest in these and other questions. Grass\, the land’s greatest and most renewable resource\, is fundamental to human food production: its source of energy in the moment\, and of fertility for the future. Let us tell you why. \nThe Doughertys have been farming together since the 1980s\, for the last thirty years in eastern Ohio\, where they manage 50 acres\, much of it designated by the state as ‘not suitable for agriculture’. Using grass and intensive grazing as the primary source of food energy\, they raise dairy and beef cows\, sheep\, farm-fed hogs\, and a variety of poultry\, producing virtually all of their food\, feed and fertility. They identify grass conversion\, especially the daily conversion of grass into milk by dairy ruminants\, combined with the integrated nutrient feed-backs that are possible with a diverse community of animal and plant species\, as the key to whole-farm sustainability. They speak\, teach\, and write on the subject of ecological homesteading\, and are the authors of three books: The Independent Farmstead\, One-Cow Revolution\, and Micro-Grazing (to be released in November\, 2026)\, all from Chelsea Green Publishing. Their website is one-cow-revolution.com. \nDeBlaze is an acclaimed bar and grill just 5 miles from Pittsburgh\, located in the heart of Carnegie\, PA\, serving tantalizing Italian pasta made with homemade pasta and sauces\, succulent steaks\, and dishes crafted with locally sourced ingredients. Curated selection of craft beer and top-shelf bourbons for an unforgettable dining experience close to Pittsburgh. \nDrivers coming from Pittsburgh International Airport or further east use I-376 (Parkway West) and then connect to local roads toward Carnegie. \nExit 57 on I-79 is generally the closest direct freeway exit. \nFree parking lot next to restaurant or street parking; stairs only to upstairs meeting room\, no elevator access.

His films have been used in high-profile criminal trials to exonerate innocent people from political persecution and to help secure victories in historic lawsuits against the most powerful forces in Big Media. \nIn 2005\, he launched Elevate Film Festival\, a global competition that challenged filmmakers to spotlight solutions to humanity’s greatest challenges. Willis’ incendiary film\, Plandemic\, planted the seeds of revolution in a billion open minds and ignited a global conflagration of critical thinking.”
