SUMMARY:Brownstone Charlotte\, NC Supper Club\, July 21\, 2026: Topher Field
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILCharlotte Brownstone Supper Club \nJuly 21\, 2026: Topher Field \nTuesday\, July 21 @ 6:00pm – 9:00pm \nNapa on Providence\, 110 Perrin Pl\, Charlotte\, NC 28207 \n$46 per person includes meal\, soda or tea\, venue fees\, tax\, and gratuity. Gluten Free & Vegetarian options included. Cash bar available. \nTopher Field \nOn Tuesday\, July 21\, 2026\, the Charlotte Supper Club is pleased to welcome Topher Field\, award-winning Australian filmmaker\, bestselling author of Good People Break Bad Laws\, and one of Australia’s leading libertarian commentators and human rights advocates\, known for his courageous stand against government overreach and his powerful message on civil disobedience and the limits of obedience. \nAbout the Talk \nGood People Break Bad Laws \nAs America celebrates its 250th anniversary\, bureaucratic overreach\, surveillance culture\, and expanding government power threaten the foundations of liberty. Award-winning filmmaker and author Topher Field delivers his powerful keynote\, specially adapted for U.S. audiences and part of his American tour\, drawing on pivotal historical figures and events from the founding era as well as lessons from his own experiences on the front lines of government overreach in Melbourne\, Australia. \nTopher issues a stark and timely warning: There’s too much 1984\, and not enough 1776. He explores the vital importance of civil disobedience in keeping the Spirit of 1776 alive\, arguing that the only thing that truly limits the power of government is the people reaching the limits of their obedience. If we believe in limited government\, we must believe in—and practice—limited obedience\, or risk losing it entirely. \nWith moral clarity\, historical insight\, and compelling storytelling\, Topher challenges attendees to reclaim courage\, question blind compliance\, and actively defend the principles of freedom. He asks the critical question facing America today: Will the United States make it to its 500th birthday still free\, or has it already gone too far wrong? \nCome early and meet Brownstone Institute friends\, scholars\, writers\, and benefactors. Celebrate victories and discuss challenges ahead. The venue is lovely\, the seasonal menu is delicious\, and the discussion brilliant. \nAbout the Speaker \nTopher Field is an award-winning Australian filmmaker\, libertarian political commentator\, and human rights advocate. Best known as the director of the internationally acclaimed documentary Battleground Melbourne\, which documents the human cost of Victoria’s strict COVID-19 lockdowns\, Topher lived the crisis for over 500 days on the front lines. He has been honored multiple times as Australian Libertarian of the Year and is the author of the bestselling book Good People Break Bad Laws\, which dismantles the myth of blind obedience and calls moral courage the cornerstone of a free society. His work challenges audiences worldwide to rethink obedience\, power\, and responsibility while defending civil liberties\, free speech\, and limited government. Topher’s uncompromising message—“Good People Break Bad Laws”—inspires people to stand for liberty with clarity and courage. \nVenue\, Location & Parking \nNapa on Providence\, 110 Perrin Pl\, Charlotte\, NC 28207. Private onsite parking.  \nRegistration \n$46 per person includes meal\, soda or tea\, fees\, tax\, and gratuity. SUMMARY:Brownstone Pittsburgh Supper Club\, July 22\, 2026: Fr. John Naugle
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILDeBlaze at 131 | 131 E Main St.\, Carnegie\, PA 15106 \nWednesday\, July 22\, 2026 6:30 – 9 pm  \n$53 includes appetizers and dinner \nPittsburgh Brownstone Supper Club is excited to welcome back Brownstone author\, Father John Naugle\, as he presents “Which way Mankind? Transhumanism or Human Dignity?”. \nIn his new encyclical\, Pope Leo XIV warns us in the opening paragraph: “Each generation inherits the task of shaping its own era\, of guiding history to become a place where the dignity of every person is safeguarded\, justice is promoted and fraternity is made possible. Yet every era also runs the risk of creating an inhumane and more unjust world.” \nDoesn’t 2020 stand out to us as a remarkable decision to create the latter rather than the former? We violated human dignity\, violated justice\, and forbade fraternity in a futile attempt to escape our own mortality. \nOur fight is not over\, however. As so many at Brownstone have written about\, the threats of transhumanism and posthumanism continue to threaten similar projects in the future\, as their faith in technology has supplanted any faith in human nature. \nJoin us as Father Naugle reflects on the threats to human dignity of our own era\, and how the disorientation of “new things” like artificial intelligence is used in every era by malign forces to profit off of the destruction of human dignity.

SUMMARY:Brownstone Supper Club\, West Hartford\, July 31\, 2026: Mary Talley Bowden
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILOn Friday\, July 31\, 2026\, the beloved West Hartford Supper Club – the first in the nation – is pleased to host one of America’s greatest champions of medical freedom and resistance to tyranny. Dr. Mary Talley Bowden has been on the front lines\, and front pages\, from the very beginning…a paid a huge price for being right.  \nNote that this meeting is on Friday\, not Wednesday as usual. We recommend getting tickets early due to high demand.  \nShe joins us for the first time\, on the occasion of publication of her new book\, Dangerous Misinformation. We’ll have some copies on hand. The title is ironic. Houston Methodist Hospital suspended her for “spreading dangerous misinformation.” Of course it was the wicked protocols of the hospital that were truly dangerous.  \nButterfly is the venue (the real Chinese stuff) with friends of Brownstone Institute. Come early for cocktails and meet Brownstone Institute friends\, scholars\, writers\, and benefactors\, and celebrate victories and discuss challenges ahead. The food is wonderful and the discussion brilliant. Casual and fun\, even if some people come in fancier clothing. \nMary Talley Bowden\, MD\, is a board-certified otolaryngologist (ear\, nose\, and throat specialist) and sleep medicine physician based in Houston\, Texas. She is best known for her independent direct-care practice\, advocacy for medical freedom\, and high-profile disputes with hospitals and medical authorities during the Covid-19 pandemic.  \nIn 2019\, she founded BreatheMD (also referred to as Bowden ENT)\, a direct-care (third-party-free) clinic in Houston focusing on sinus\, allergy\, sleep\, and airway issues with transparent pricing and holistic options. The practice emphasizes patient-first care without insurance\, hospital\, or government ties. She kept over 6\,000 Covid-19 patients out of the hospital through early treatment protocols.  \nSince then\, she has established herself in media appearances as a ferocious champion of freedom and rights\, and inspired many medical professionals to stand up to the intimidation by boards\, professional associations\, and institutions. We are thrilled to welcome her.
