SUMMARY:Brownstone Austin Supper Club April 22\, 2026: Jenna McCarthy
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILCasa Garcia’s\, 1901 W William Cannon\, Austin TX 78745  \n6:00pm – 9:00pm\nAustin\, Texas\n$55 per person for appetizer\, dinner\, speaker \nPlease join us for an evening of laugh-out-loud conversation and “I feel better already” community with humorist and freedom-fighter Jenna McCarthy. While Jenna has a long and accomplished resume\, she’s probably best known for being constantly confused with that other anti-vaxxer whose name sounds strikingly similar to her own. (Two different people. Just so we’re clear.)  \n  \nAbout Jenna \nJenna McCarthy is an internationally published writer\, corporate speaker\, screenwriter\, two-time TED presenter\, former radio personality\, and the author of more than twenty books including The War on Ivermectin and The War on Chlorine Dioxide\, both with Dr. Pierre Kory. Her writing has appeared in more than sixty magazines (remember those?)\, on dozens of websites\, and in several anthologies including the popular Chicken Soup series. Today\, she pens the popular Substack Jenna’s Side—where she has many\, many opinions—and writes a monthly column for the Independent Medical Alliance (formerly FLCCC). \n  \nAbout the Talk \nIn this fun and lively chat\, Jenna will share her evolution from “sit-down comedian” roasting marriage and modern life to snarky\, no-nonsense voice for a growing army of dissidents battling censorship\, exile\, propaganda\, government corruption\, and the beast that is Big Pharma (*not a sentence she ever thought she’d hear herself write or say). She’ll happily answer questions about her books\, suppressed medical treatments\, “doing your own research\,” whatever fresh nonsense dropped this week\, and how to keep your sense of humor intact when the world looks like a scene straight out of Idiocracy. \n  \nVenue\, Location & Parking\nCasa Garcia’s is at the intersection of W William Cannon and Menchaca.  There is a large parking lot.   We will be in the ‘Party Room’\, which is to the left of the reception / hostess area.   You are welcome to come before 6pm and gather in the bar.  \n  \nRegistration\n$55 per person.  Space is limited so be sure to secure your seat early.  For more information contact Cyndi at cyndi@flourishholisticwellness.com.   Please include “Austin Supper Club” in the subject line.

SUMMARY:Brownstone Pittsburgh Supper Club\, April 22\, 2026: Mike Costarell
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILDeBlaze at 131 | 131 E Main St.\, Carnegie\, PA 15106 \nWednesday\, April 22\, 2026 6:30 – 9 pm  \n$50 includes appetizers and dinner \n  \nPittsburgh Brownstone Supper Club is pleased to have Mike Costarell present “COVID‑19 at Youngstown State University: A Faculty Account”. \n  \nIn this talk\, Costarell recounts events at Youngstown State University from March 2020 through February 2022\, including his address to the Academic Senate. Drawing on firsthand experience\, he examines how COVID‑era policies reshaped academic governance\, sidelined disciplinary expertise\, and narrowed the space for debate within a public university. \n  \nThe presentation concludes with twelve questions for higher education to confront as it reckons with emergency powers\, institutional conformity\, and whether universities remain capable of open inquiry under crisis conditions. \n  \nMike Costarell was born in the Youngstown\, Ohio area\, graduating high school in 1985 and then Youngstown State University in 1989 with a degree in civil engineering. \n  \nHe then spent the next 5 1/2 years in the United States Navy nuclear propulsion program\, earning qualification as in engineering watch officer\, submarine officer\, and achieved the nuclear engineer qualification. \n  \nFor the next 10 years he worked as a production supervisor\, process engineer\, and energy management consultant. During that time\, he also completed the requirements for the Ohio professional engineer credential and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. \n  \nHis subsequent 20-year academic career had many dramatic periods\, including DEI hiring processes\, negative promotion experiences\, and a departure from the OEA/NEA union. Fortunately\, that contrarian attitude came in valuable during the 2020 campus discussions on Covid 19. As part of his actions and several others\, YSU was one of only two public institutions to not require a vaccine to work or attend classes. \n  \nHe remains unvaccinated and an unashamed supporter of the Great Barrington Declaration.

SUMMARY:Brownstone Pittsboro\, NC Supper Club\, May 19: Dianna Lightfoot
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILBrownstone Institute Supper Club\, Pittsboro\, NC \nForest Hall at Chatham Mills \nTuesday\, May 19\, 2026 @ 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM \n$55 includes dinner\, beer and wine. \nDianna Lightfoot\, Policy Director\, North Carolina Physicians for Freedom \nAbout the Talk: \nUnderserving the Underserved: The New Guinea Pigs \nHB67: The Healthcare Workforce Reform Bill: Interstate Licensing Compact\, Foreign Physician Licensing (2025). \nHB67 passed quietly and without major opposition in the state legislature in late 2025. Why? Because almost no one knew about it.  After serving as the go-to group for many legislators and policy leaders for more than four years\, North Carolina Physicians for Freedom (NCPFF)\, North Carolina’s only all-medical-professional 501(c)3 organization\, was not asked to review or comment on HB67. \nNC was only the second state in the nation to approve this law\, Tennessee was the first (and is now working to amend the law).  But now\, the cookie-cutter language of this Bill has swept the nation\, passing or currently being considered in more than 20 states. \nIn part\, HB67 allows foreign physicians to practice in rural areas\, ostensibly compensating for the lack of medical care in rural NC. But HB67 is inherently flawed. NCPFF’s network believes it sets a dangerous precedent for rural health with key concerns being patient safety\, inconsistent standards and unclear supervision.   This topic hits close to home as Chatham and surrounding counties have many rural areas.  Come join the discussion!   \nAbout the Speaker: \nDianna Lightfoot is a health care policy advisor and networking expert with national and international experience. In 2017 she was appointed by the Trump White House to Senior Policy Advisor for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Global Health. In this capacity\, Ms. Lightfoot’s responsibilities included interacting with the Department of Education\, Health and Human Services and the State Department\, coordinating on health-related issues as well as global security\, education reform\, migration\, the environment\, and human trafficking. \nIn 2021\, Dianna co-founded North Carolina Physicians for Freedom (NCPFF)\, where she serves as its current director. NCPFF is a 501 (c) 3 advisory network of physicians and other medical practitioners who seek to support medical freedom\, patient choice\, patient rights\, and medical privacy. \nDianna also advises multiple physician-led policy groups and organizations nationwide. They include U.S. Health and Human Services officials and Frontliners\, a national network of state-based professionals who share mutually beneficial research and information on issues related to healthcare\, education\, child welfare and voter integrity\, among others. \nMs. Lightfoot was Dr. Ben Carson’s National Medical Coalitions Director during his presidential campaign\, and an advisor to the White House Domestic Policy Advisor in the George W. Bush Administration. \nVenue & Details \nForest Hall at Chatham Mills\, 480 Hillsboro Street\, Suite 530\, Pittsboro\, NC \nForest Hall is located in a historic label mill built in the early 1900s\, the venue has wooden floors\, exposed brick walls and large windows. The 3500 square foot hall is located on 32 acres of woods and meadows in historic downtown Pittsboro\, NC- just 20 minutes away from Chapel Hill and 40 minutes from Raleigh or Durham.  Catering is provided by 39 West Catering.  \nTicket Information  \n$55 per person includes a lovely buffet style dinner\, beer\, and wine.  Secure your spot now!

These hidden heroes remained calm and clear-headed\, able to put science\, commonsense\, and ethics above profits\, fear porn\, and the desire for control. But in the face of so much social pressure\, ridicule\, exclusion\, and ostracism\, how did ordinary people find the extraordinary courage not to comply? \nIn this lively and interactive talk by science journalist Jennifer Margulis\, we will answer this question together and learn the recipe for Resisters’ Secret Sauce. \nVenue Location: \nAshland Hills Hotel \n855-482-83102525 Ashland StreetAshland\, Oregon 97520 \nThere is plenty of available parking on-site. \nRegistration: \n$50 per person.  Space is limited so be sure to secure your seat early.  For more information contact Bill at bkindman@mind.net

Dr. Kuperwasser is internationally recognized for her expertise in mammary gland biology and breast cancer\, and prevention.  \nButterfly is the venue (the real Chinese stuff) with friends of the Brownstone Institute. Come early for cocktails and meet Brownstone Institute friends\, scholars\, writers\, and benefactors\, and celebrate victories and discuss challenges ahead. The food is wonderful and the discussion brilliant. Casual and fun\, even if some people come in fancier clothing. \nDr. Kuperwasser earned her Bachelor of Science in 1997 and her PhD in 2000\, both from the University of Massachusetts\, Amherst. Following her doctoral studies\, she was a Jane Coffin Childs Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Weinberg at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research at MIT. Dr. Kuperwasser has been recognized with several prestigious fellowships and awards\, including the Howard Hughes Fellowship\, the Merck Fellowship\, the COG/Aventis Young Investigator Award\, and the Natalie V. Zucker Award.  \nDr. Kuperwasser came to national attention with an important peer-reviewed paper that explored the relationship between Covid-19 vaccination and the rise in incidents of cancer. This paper triggered a series of bot attacks on the journal site\, and extreme pressure to censor her findings. Her concerns have been further reinforced with new data that documents a rise of particular cancers up to 2023\, making the issue of national and international concern.  \nDr. Kuperwasser will discuss her findings along with their implications. See you soon!

Drawing on her research and weaving in her own health story coming from a North Carolina medical family\, Tracy will summarize how we got to be the sickest country on earth – including how allopathic medicine evolved\, who else is “in the room” during a doctor visit\, why distrust has skyrocketed\, and how Kennedy’s HHS policies have begun to make a fundamental shift. \nTracy will then introduce a practical root-cause framework to help us set our own health agenda. She will help us navigate the complex\, growing world of root cause health – outlining the different kinds of diagnostics\, therapies\, and practitioners – along with sources for learning\, funding\, and finding these practitioners. \nCome early and meet Brownstone Institute friends\, scholars\, writers\, and benefactors. Celebrate victories and discuss challenges ahead. The venue is lovely\, the seasonal menu is delicious\, and the discussion brilliant. \nAbout the Speaker \nTracy Hollister earned her Masters in Public Policy at Duke and is a Raleigh-based MAHA leader\, research consultant\, and health freedom warrior. She served as Robert F. Kennedy\, Jr.’s Deputy Elector Director on his presidential campaign\, leading efforts to vet electors and secure ballot access. Once Kennedy joined forces with Trump\, she used her bridge-building and story-telling skills to spearhead the MAHA Voices video series to amplify Kennedy supporter’s stories to millions and help position Kennedy to be HHS Secretary. Motivated by her own COVID awakening journey\, Tracy has elevated the voices of integrative practitioners and independent scientists by recruiting them to speak at national health freedom forums and a “COVID and the Academy” conference as well as both NC Brownstone supper clubs. A speaker herself\, Tracy has challenged prevailing narratives about COVID policies in national forums such as Braver Angels debates and conventions\, where she engaged directly with former NIH Director Francis Collins. She has also spoken to diverse audiences and appeared on a “Why Should I Trust You?” podcast episode with three former CDC officials. As an alternative to the allopathic sickcare monopoly\, Tracy is now structuring a model to connect people with root cause resources to facilitate their healing journeys. \nVenue\, Location & Parking \nNapa on Providence\, 110 Perrin Pl\, Charlotte\, NC 28207. SUMMARY:Brownstone Berkeley\, CA Supper Club\, May 26\, 2026: Colin Redemer
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILBerkeley Supper Club\nRevival Bar and Kitchen | 2102 Shattuck Ave. | Berkeley\, CA \n3-course Family Style meal and non-alcoholic beverages | No host bar available\n \n$65 per person \n\nAbout the Speaker: \nColin Redemer is professor at Saint Mary’s College of California and Director of Education at American Reformer. He works at the intersection of classical thought and contemporary life. His focus is on ethical and political philosophy which naturally informs a theory of childhood education\, and the question of what it takes to raise free human beings in an age of accelerating technology. \nAbout the Talk: \nWhat is education actually for? In an age of AI\, algorithmic feeds\, and a public school system that has openly given up on the deeper questions\, the answer has never mattered more — or been more confused. Drawing on classical philosophy\, and a few cautionary tales from the last century\, Colin will offer a vision rooted in Christian anthropology of how to raise human beings who can pick up the technologies of this century with confidence\, and put them down again. \nAbout the Venue: \nRevival Bar and Kitchen is a California Brasserie and Cocktail Lounge. Their food is sustainably sourced with an emphasis on organic ingredients. They use local farms and ranches who raise quality proteins and vegetables to keep their menu superbly tasty and resource efficient. These ideas inform their cocktail and wine program as well. \nRevival is just a few blocks from UC Berkeley\, and easily accessible. There is a BART station on the corner and three parking garages within a few minute stroll.

SUMMARY:Brownstone Pittsburgh Supper Club\, May 27\, 2026: Shawn & Beth Dougherty
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILDeBlaze at 131 | 131 E Main St.\, Carnegie\, PA 15106 \nWednesday\, May 27\, 2026 6:30 – 9 pm  \n$50 includes appetizers and dinner \nShawn and Beth Dougherty \nPittsburgh Brownstone Supper Club is pleased to welcome Shawn and Beth Dougherty to share their story of “Ecological Homesteading: A Grass-Fed Approach”. \nWhat will we eat tomorrow? And how safe will it be? A growing concern about the quality of industrial food is generating practical interest in these and other questions. Grass\, the land’s greatest and most renewable resource\, is fundamental to human food production: its source of energy in the moment\, and of fertility for the future. Let us tell you why. \nThe Doughertys have been farming together since the 1980s\, for the last thirty years in eastern Ohio\, where they manage 50 acres\, much of it designated by the state as ‘not suitable for agriculture’. Using grass and intensive grazing as the primary source of food energy\, they raise dairy and beef cows\, sheep\, farm-fed hogs\, and a variety of poultry\, producing virtually all of their food\, feed and fertility. They identify grass conversion\, especially the daily conversion of grass into milk by dairy ruminants\, combined with the integrated nutrient feed-backs that are possible with a diverse community of animal and plant species\, as the key to whole-farm sustainability. They speak\, teach\, and write on the subject of ecological homesteading\, and are the authors of three books: The Independent Farmstead\, One-Cow Revolution\, and Micro-Grazing (to be released in November\, 2026)\, all from Chelsea Green Publishing. Their website is one-cow-revolution.com. \nDeBlaze is an acclaimed bar and grill just 5 miles from Pittsburgh\, located in the heart of Carnegie\, PA\, serving tantalizing Italian pasta made with homemade pasta and sauces\, succulent steaks\, and dishes crafted with locally sourced ingredients. Curated selection of craft beer and top-shelf bourbons for an unforgettable dining experience close to Pittsburgh. \nDrivers coming from Pittsburgh International Airport or further east use I-376 (Parkway West) and then connect to local roads toward Carnegie. \nExit 57 on I-79 is generally the closest direct freeway exit. \nFree parking lot next to restaurant or street parking; stairs only to upstairs meeting room\, no elevator access.

His films have been used in high-profile criminal trials to exonerate innocent people from political persecution and to help secure victories in historic lawsuits against the most powerful forces in Big Media. \nIn 2005\, he launched Elevate Film Festival\, a global competition that challenged filmmakers to spotlight solutions to humanity’s greatest challenges. The one-of-a-kind event earned the title of “The World’s Largest Single-Screen Film Event.” Following a three-year tour\, the festival evolved into Elevate Films\, an independent\, cause-driven production company. \nSince then\, Elevate has created hundreds of breakthrough productions\, including record-setting viral videos\, television series\, documentaries\, and feature films. \nIn 2020\, Willis released the first installment of his documentary series\, Plandemic\, which was shared by more than one billion people worldwide\, making it the most viewed documentary series in history. \nThrough his courageous work\, Willis has gained an international following among audiences seeking alternative perspectives on health\, governance\, and the role of the media in shaping public perception. \nRobert F. SUMMARY:Brownstone Greater Boston Supper Club\, June 2\, 2026: Jan Jekielek
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILBrownstone Greater Boston Supper Club\, Tuesday\, June 2nd\, with Jan Jekielek  \nTuesday\, June 2nd\, 5:30pm – 9:00pm \nWilmington\, MA \nPlease join us for an evening of lively conversation\, intriguing speakers\, and fun! This month we are pleased to welcome Jan Jekielek. \nAbout the Speaker \nJan Jekielek is a NYT bestselling author and award winning journalist and filmmaker. He has worked with The Epoch Times for over 20 years\, most recently as senior editor and host of the show American Thought Leaders. \nYears ago Jan was studying the evolutionary biology of lemurs in Madagascar\, when his life took an unexpected turn. Exposed to the realities of human rights violations in China\, he started working with an underground railroad helping Chinese dissidents escape through the Golden Triangle to Thailand and ultimately to Western countries. It was then that he realized that telling unknown heroes’ stories was transformative\, both for him and his readers. \nDetermined to tell true stories\, Jan started working with The Epoch Times at a time when popular narratives in the West hid the dark underbelly of communist China. He did some of the earliest reporting on the Chinese regime’s continuing practice of forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience. \nOver the last seven years\, Jan has interviewed nearly a thousand thought leaders on camera\, including heads of state\, U.S. cabinet secretaries and agency heads\, and congressional members.  \nJan specializes in long-form content that tackles the grand narratives of our time. As a filmmaker\, he has produced DeSantis: Florida vs. Lockdowns\, The Unseen Crisis: Vaccine Stories You Were Never Told\, and the ‘optimistic’ Holocaust documentary Finding Manny. \nHe is the author of the NYT bestselling book\, Killed to Order: China’s Organ Harvesting Industry and the True Nature of America’s Biggest Adversary. \nAbout the Talk \nIn China\, wait times for life-saving organ transplants aren’t measured in years or months—but in weeks\, sometimes even days.  Evidence shows that many of these organs are not from voluntary donors at all\, but instead imprisoned prisoners of conscience\, mostly practitioners of the Falun Gong spiritual discipline and increasingly\, Uyghur Muslims. This is the story of how a totalitarian\, communist system can turn medicine into murder—where consent is absent\, human beings are treated as inventory\, and surgery is scheduled around execution.  \nEven more disquieting is the way this underlying logic of utilitarian bioethics—taken to an extreme in China—is spreading to the West.  In Canada\, for example\, the rapid expansion of euthanasia under the Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) regime has been accompanied by a steady rise in organ procurement from MAiD patients\, prompting serious concern that vulnerable individuals may be subtly pressured toward euthanasia and subsequent organ donation.  \nVenue\, Location & Parking \nRocco’s\, 193 Main Street\, Wilmington. Free parking. Overflow parking at Dunkin’ Donuts next door\, or across the street @ Sherwin Williams. \nRegistration \n$55 per person.  Space is limited so be sure to buy your ticket early!   \nFor more information contact Brianne at briannekrupsaw@gmail.com Please include “June Supper Club” in the subject line.

SUMMARY:Brownstone Midwest Supper Club\, June 15\, 2026: Mark Fraley
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILBrownstone Institute Indiana Supper Club \nJune 15\, 2026:  Mark Fraley \nMonday June 15 @ 6:30pm – 9:30pm \nLennie’s Restaurant\, 514 E. Kirkwood Ave\, Bloomington\, IN\n6:30pm – 9:30pm\n$55 per person includes a buffet dinner\, wine\, beer and soft drinks. \nPlease join us for an evening of warm community\, lively conversation and great food & drink. This month we are pleased to welcome Mark Fraley\, Associate Director of the Political and Civic Engagement (PACE) Program at Indiana University Bloomington. He’ll give a talk titled “On Misunderstanding and Being Misunderstood”. \nAbout Mark Fraley  \nMark Fraley works at the intersection of contemplative practice and democratic deliberation. As Associate Director of the Political and Civic Engagement (PACE) Program at Indiana University Bloomington\, he designs and facilitates programming around civic dialogue\, viewpoint diversity\, and democratic engagement. He co-founded IU’s Heterodox Academy campus community and chairs the IU Votes initiative. His practice draws on contemplative training as well as the tradition of structured public deliberation\, and he brings both to bear on the challenge of genuine cross-ideological understanding. \nAbout the Talk \nWe like to think we engage with ideas on their merits. In practice\, we’re remarkably quick to reach for a label\, and once the label lands\, the conversation is over before it begins. This talk explores how pre-established frames shape the way we receive unfamiliar ideas\, and how that dynamic produces a particular kind of isolation: the experience of speaking and not being heard. \nDrawing on contemplative traditions and deliberative frameworks\, Mark Fraley offers a framework for sitting with that discomfort rather than resolving it prematurely\, and for approaching genuine disagreement with something closer to curiosity than defense. \nVenue & Details \nLennie’s is a beloved Bloomington institution known for its warm atmosphere\, exceptional cuisine\, and craft beer selection. For over 30 years\, Lennie’s has been bringing people together over delicious food and drink in a setting perfect for meaningful conversation. \nLocation & Parking \nLennie’s is located at 514 E. Kirkwood Ave in the heart of downtown Bloomington\, Indiana. Free parking is available after 5PM in the Indiana University Von Lee Parking Lot at the corner of Sixth and Dunn\, and in the Indiana University Parking Lot #402 at 4th and Dunn. SUMMARY:Brownstone Pittsboro\, NC Supper Club\, June 16: Tracy Hollister
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILBrownstone Institute Supper Club\, Pittsboro\, NC \nForest Hall at Chatham Mills \nTuesday\, June 16\, 2026 @ 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM \n$48 includes full meal and non-alcohol drinks\, cash bar available \nOn this special evening we are thrilled to welcome Tracy Hollister\, Raleigh-based MAHA leader\, research consultant\, and passionate health freedom advocate. \nAbout the Talk \nHow Can We Become Independently Healthy? \nTo help those of us who are disillusioned with allopathic sickcare find our way to personalized\, root-cause healing and health freedom\, Tracy will address a central question of our times: “How Can We Become Independently Healthy?”  Drawing on her own health awakening journey\, getting off 25 years of medications\, and experiences with her North Carolina medical family\, Tracy will share how we got to be so sick as a country\, who is really “in the room” during a doctor visit\, why trust in public health and doctors has plummeted\, and how Kennedy’s HHS policies are making a difference.  \nUsing mental health as an example\, Tracy will then share a practical root-cause framework to help you take charge of your own health agenda. She’ll guide you through the booming world of root-cause healing– covering types of diagnostics\, therapies\, and practitioners –plus exactly where to learn about\, fund\, and connect with them. Ready to break free from sickcare? This is your roadmap. In her own speaking engagements\, Tracy has challenged prevailing narratives about COVID policies in national forums such as Braver Angels debates and conventions\, where she engaged directly with former NIH Director Francis Collins. She also appeared on a “Why Should I Trust You?” podcast episode with three former CDC officials. As an alternative to the allopathic sickcare monopoly\, Tracy is now structuring a model to connect people with root cause resources to facilitate their healing journeys. Dr. Baseman will share what was really going on behind the scenes – including what was known at the time\, how that understanding changed\, and how those shifts influenced public health guidance and policy decisions. \nWe will also discuss the real impacts and tradeoffs these decisions had for individuals and communities\, reflect on where communication fell short\, and consider what it will take to rebuild the public’s trust moving forward. \nWe hope you can join us! \nVenue\, Location and Parking \nFamily Pancake House \n17621 Redmond Way\, Redmond\, WA \nParking is plentiful and free. \nRegistration \n$60 per person.  Space is limited so be sure to secure your seat early.  \nFor more information\, please contact Susan at srlund@aol.com.   Please \ninclude “Puget Sound Supper Club” in the subject line. \n

SUMMARY:Brownstone Supper Club\, West Hartford\, June 24\, 2026: Jeffrey Tucker
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILOn Wednesday\, June 24\, 2026\, the beloved West Hartford Supper Club – the first in the nation – is pleased to celebrate our country’s 250th birthday with a book party. The book is Spirits of America by Jeffrey Tucker\, who will be with us to sign copies and do a reading. \nJeffrey Tucker is founder and president of Brownstone\, senior economics columnist at Epoch Times\, and author of 19 books. Spirits of America is probably the best seller among them\, and the one most personally reflective and searching. It seeks to discern and discuss the particular traits of the American character that built a young nation into a model for the world.  \nThe book began as a reflection on the provocative written half a century ago by Eric Sloane\, a sometimes dark elucidation of American virtues that were threatened with extinction. Tucker’s book is an update with a brighter spirit about the prospects for a post-lockdown nation. Since its release\, it has garnered wide praise for its honesty in grappling with the cultural and political challenges of our time.  \nFree copies will be available to all. Bring friends so that we can make this birthday and book party a very special occasion.

SUMMARY:Brownstone Austin Supper Club June 24\, 2026: Mary Parker & Cyndi Collen
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILBrownstone Austin Supper Club \nJune 24\, 2026:  Mary Parker & Cyndi Collen \nWednesday June 24th @ 5:30pm – 9:00pm \nCasa Garcia’s\, 1901 W William Cannon\, Austin TX 78745 \n 5:30pm – 9:00pm\n Austin\, Texas\n $50 per person for appetizer\, dinner\, speaker \nYou’re invited to an eye-opening evening of honest conversation about what’s really happening in mental healthcare — how over-diagnosis has led to the over-medicalization of everyday emotional and behavioral struggles\, and how a holistic approach is changing lives in ways pharmaceuticals simply can’t. \nAbout Mary & Cyndi \nMary Parker\, LPC-S is a licensed counselor\, functional mental health practitioner\, and author of Wired for the Wild: How ADHD Is Your Biological Superpower. With years of clinical experience supporting children and families navigating ADHD\, Mary has developed a root-cause approach that integrates evolutionary biology\, nutrition\, nervous system science\, and genetic individuality.  She brings to every conversation the fire of a clinician who has fought for families\, the precision of a researcher who has read the data\, and the heart of a mother who has lived it.\n\n Cyndi Collen\, LCSW-S is a licensed clinical social worker\, certified integrative mental health professional\, and founder of Flourish Holistic Mental Wellness and the Mindful Wellness Center of Austin. A clinician and educator with hundreds of successful client outcomes\, Cyndi champions holistic\, somatic\, and integrative approaches to anxiety and depression — and trains fellow therapists on the critical gap between SSRI research findings and what patients and providers are actually told. \nAbout the Talk \nMary & Cyndi tackle one of modern medicine’s most pressing controversies — the over-medicalization of depression and ADHD. They dismantle the widely-promoted chemical imbalance theory\, expose the hidden risks of psychiatric medications that patients are never told about\, and make the case for holistic and functional approaches that deliver real\, lasting results — without the prescription pad. They’ll also break down emerging policy efforts aimed at reining in psychiatric overmedication. \nVenue\, Location & Parking\n Casa Garcia’s is at the intersection of W William Cannon and Menchaca.  There is a large parking lot.   We will be in the ‘Party Room’\, which is to the left of the reception / hostess area.   \nRegistration\n $50 per person.  Space is limited so be sure to secure your seat early.  For more information contact Cyndi at cyndi@flourishholisticwellness.com.   Please include “Austin Supper Club” in the subject line.
