SUMMARY:Brownstone Midwest Supper Club\, June 15\, 2026: Mark Fraley
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILBrownstone Institute Indiana Supper Club \nJune 15\, 2026:  Mark Fraley \nMonday June 15 @ 6:30pm – 9:30pm \nLennie’s Restaurant\, 514 E. Kirkwood Ave\, Bloomington\, IN\n6:30pm – 9:30pm\n$55 per person includes a buffet dinner\, wine\, beer and soft drinks. \nPlease join us for an evening of warm community\, lively conversation and great food & drink. This month we are pleased to welcome Mark Fraley\, Associate Director of the Political and Civic Engagement (PACE) Program at Indiana University Bloomington. He’ll give a talk titled “On Misunderstanding and Being Misunderstood”. \nAbout Mark Fraley  \nMark Fraley works at the intersection of contemplative practice and democratic deliberation. As Associate Director of the Political and Civic Engagement (PACE) Program at Indiana University Bloomington\, he designs and facilitates programming around civic dialogue\, viewpoint diversity\, and democratic engagement. He co-founded IU’s Heterodox Academy campus community and chairs the IU Votes initiative. His practice draws on contemplative training as well as the tradition of structured public deliberation\, and he brings both to bear on the challenge of genuine cross-ideological understanding. \nAbout the Talk \nWe like to think we engage with ideas on their merits. In practice\, we’re remarkably quick to reach for a label\, and once the label lands\, the conversation is over before it begins. This talk explores how pre-established frames shape the way we receive unfamiliar ideas\, and how that dynamic produces a particular kind of isolation: the experience of speaking and not being heard. \nDrawing on contemplative traditions and deliberative frameworks\, Mark Fraley offers a framework for sitting with that discomfort rather than resolving it prematurely\, and for approaching genuine disagreement with something closer to curiosity than defense. \nVenue & Details \nLennie’s is a beloved Bloomington institution known for its warm atmosphere\, exceptional cuisine\, and craft beer selection. For over 30 years\, Lennie’s has been bringing people together over delicious food and drink in a setting perfect for meaningful conversation. \nLocation & Parking \nLennie’s is located at 514 E. Kirkwood Ave in the heart of downtown Bloomington\, Indiana. Free parking is available after 5PM in the Indiana University Von Lee Parking Lot at the corner of Sixth and Dunn\, and in the Indiana University Parking Lot #402 at 4th and Dunn. There is also metered parking (metered until 9PM) available on streets surrounding Kirkwood Avenue. Several parking garages are within walking distance. \nTicket Information \n$55 per person includes a tasty buffet dinner and drinks. SUMMARY:Brownstone Pittsboro\, NC Supper Club\, June 16: Tracy Hollister
DESCRIPTION:SHARE | PRINT | EMAILBrownstone Institute Supper Club\, Pittsboro\, NC \nForest Hall at Chatham Mills \nTuesday\, June 16\, 2026 @ 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM \n$48 includes full meal and non-alcohol drinks\, cash bar available \nOn this special evening we are thrilled to welcome Tracy Hollister\, Raleigh-based MAHA leader\, research consultant\, and passionate health freedom advocate. \nAbout the Talk \nHow Can We Become Independently Healthy? \nTo help those of us who are disillusioned with allopathic sickcare find our way to personalized\, root-cause healing and health freedom\, Tracy will address a central question of our times: “How Can We Become Independently Healthy?”  Drawing on her own health awakening journey\, getting off 25 years of medications\, and experiences with her North Carolina medical family\, Tracy will share how we got to be so sick as a country\, who is really “in the room” during a doctor visit\, why trust in public health and doctors has plummeted\, and how Kennedy’s HHS policies are making a difference.  \nUsing mental health as an example\, Tracy will then share a practical root-cause framework to help you take charge of your own health agenda. She’ll guide you through the booming world of root-cause healing– covering types of diagnostics\, therapies\, and practitioners –plus exactly where to learn about\, fund\, and connect with them. Ready to break free from sickcare? This is your roadmap.  \nAbout the Speaker \nTracy Hollister earned her Masters in Public Policy at Duke and is a Raleigh-based MAHA leader\, research consultant\, and health freedom warrior. She served as Robert F. Kennedy\, Jr.’s Deputy Elector Director on his presidential campaign\, leading efforts to vet electors and secure ballot access. Once Kennedy joined forces with Trump\, she used her bridge-building and story-telling skills to spearhead the MAHA Voices video series to amplify Kennedy supporter’s stories to millions and help position Kennedy to be HHS Secretary. Motivated by her own COVID awakening journey\, Tracy has elevated the voices of integrative practitioners and independent scientists by recruiting them to speak at national health freedom forums and a “COVID and the Academy” conference as well as both NC Brownstone supper clubs. In her own speaking engagements\, Tracy has challenged prevailing narratives about COVID policies in national forums such as Braver Angels debates and conventions\, where she engaged directly with former NIH Director Francis Collins. She also appeared on a “Why Should I Trust You?” podcast episode with three former CDC officials. As an alternative to the allopathic sickcare monopoly\, Tracy is now structuring a model to connect people with root cause resources to facilitate their healing journeys.  \nVenue & Details \nForest Hall at Chatham Mills\, 480 Hillsboro Street\, Suite 530\, Pittsboro\, NC \nForest Hall is located in a historic label mill built in the early 1900s\, the venue has wooden floors\, exposed brick walls and large windows. The 3500 square foot hall is located on 32 acres of woods and meadows in historic downtown Pittsboro\, NC- just 20 minutes away from Chapel Hill and 40 minutes from Raleigh or Durham.  Catering is provided by 39 West Catering.    \nTicket Information  \n$48 per person includes a lovely buffet style dinner and non-alcohol drinks. Cash bar available.  Secure your spot now!
