Thursday\, September 5\, 2024 – Mary Holland \nSeptember 5 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm  $50.00 \nWe are thrilled to introduce our community to this month’s distinguished guest\, Mary Holland\, CEO of Children’s Health Defense and a leader in the health freedom movement for more than two decades.  \nBefore joining CHD in 2019\, Holland taught on the faculty at NYU School of Law for 17 years and lectured at Columbia Law School on international human rights. She has testified in Congress and in state legislatures around the country and has co-authored and co-edited several books and many articles about vaccine law and policy. \nMary will tell us about recent issues in children’s health and vaccines and will share stories about her advocacy work since the Covid pandemic. We expect an interesting Q&A with Mary after her talk – we hope you’ll join us for this important and sure-to-be lively conversation! \nOur venue\, the festive Las Bugambilias in Philadelphia’s famous Old City district\, offers a buffet of all-you-can-consume Mexican food\, margaritas\, beer\, and wine — all included. Join us for a night of eating and drinking\, meet Brownstone Institute friends\, scholars\, writers\, and benefactors\, and celebrate victories and discuss challenges ahead. Dress is whatever makes you happy — casual is great\, fancy is also wonderful. \n  \nLOCATION & PARKING\nLas Bugambilias\, at 15 S. 3rd St. is near the corner of 3rd and Chestnut Sts\, right off the I-95 and 676 highways.\nOne outdoor parking lot is immediately adjacent to the restaurant ($20-25) and a large indoor lot is around the corner on 4th and Chestnut Sts. ($20-30)\nStreet parking is usually easy to find in the evenings as well (pay at kiosks or through the MeterUp parking app). \n  \nWHERE TO STAY\nIn the 3-block radius around the restaurant you’ll find several 3- and 4-star hotels\, with nightly rates starting as low as $89.\nApple Hostels offers affordable rooms at a location near the venue (33 Bank St).
