About Dr. Elise Mecham

Dr. Elise Mecham earned her undergraduate degree from Utah Valley University, graduated with AOA honors from the University of Utah School of Medicine, and completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. After completing fellowship training in microvascular reconstruction at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Mecham became a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. She founded Real You Plastic Surgery & Wellness, providing reconstructive and cosmetic treatments. Dr. Mecham lives in Utah County with her husband, Jason. They are the parents of five children.

About the talk

Dr. Mecham experienced a vaccine injury after receiving the first dose of the Pfizer Covid-19 two-shot series. Within minutes she felt burning and tingling sensations, followed by chest pain, numbness, severe fatigue, and brain fog. She went from being a busy mother and surgeon to needing help up a flight of stairs, and not being able to walk without support, experiencing severe pain and breathing difficulties for many months. This experience led Dr. Mecham to question the medical establishment and seek alternative ways to heal herself and her patients. She will discuss her experiences with Covid, and the challenges and strategies involved in treating patients as individuals, while working within a medical system that is increasingly standardized and top–down directed.
