Topic: The Fourth Act Effect: How Ordinary Actions Create Extraordinary Ripples Far Beyond What We Can See
At a time when climate, artificial intelligence, politics, education, the economy, and the environment are increasingly framed as threats or looming catastrophes, what if we all possess a largely unrecognized capacity for extraordinary influence?
Drawing on his work with Princeton climate scientist William Happer, his explorations of quantum entanglement, and his newly published book, The Fourth Act Effect, Will invites you into an experience of discovering how much influence we already have and how we can use it more effectively.
This participatory presentation will explore how fear paralyzes us, how certainty and polarization divide us and limit productive collaboration, and how our choices can create positive consequences that ripple far beyond anything we can imagine. Rather than waiting for institutions, politicians, or experts to change the world, extraordinary changes can be catalyzed when we become active participants in what happens next.
Once we know how.
About the Speaker:
Will Wilkinson: Author or co-author of more than twenty books, including William Happer’s biography, Standing Up for Science; the #1 Wall Street Journal bestseller, The Success Paradox; Thriving in Business and Life; and The Fourth Act Effect, written with Christopher Harding. He is a biographer, coach, co-founder of Meaningful Memoirs, and a longtime explorer of how individual choices shape lives, organizations, communities, and the wider world.
Our Intention: We host this event in Ashland—as a place to connect with others who feel outside of the mainstream conversation. We meet each month to enjoy getting to know each other with time to meet & greet, followed by dinner and a speaker. The three previous events featured speakers Jennifer Margulis, Steve Bhaerman (Swami Beyondananda) Margaret Anna Alice & Rob Schläpfer.
There is plenty of available parking on-site.
Registration:
$32 per person. Space is limited so be sure to secure your seat early. For more information contact Bill at [email protected]
