About the Talk

Zen will present the talk: Truth About Toxins in Our Environment and How We Organize to Regain Our Health–Food, Data Centers and Vaccines.  Feeling hopeless about being inundated with toxins? Or not sure where they might be coming from?  Are you and your family members dealing with chronic illness?  Come learn the surprising facts about toxins in our food supply and in our environment and what you can do about it. Leave empowered, inspired and able to take action for your health. Zen will also provide state and federal legislative updates on these issues and share her personal story about why she has become so committed and passionate about the health continuum between the environment and our bodies.

About the Speaker

Zen Honeycutt is the Founder and Executive Director of Moms Across America, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on food safety, environmental health, organic agriculture, and reducing toxic exposures, and Founder and Executive Director of The Moms Across America Movement. Since 2012, she has led national education, research, testing, and policy initiatives addressing pesticides, heavy metals, food contaminants, school meals, and agricultural practices. Honeycutt has directed independent testing of breast milk, drinking water, urine, school meals, fast food, baby formula, cereals, and other foods for pesticides, heavy metals, veterinary drugs, hormones, and nutritional content. She has participated in congressional briefings, met with officials from the EPA, FDA, and USDA, and engaged with the offices of more than 80 members of Congress. She previously served as a consumer representative on the California Organic Products Advisory Committee to the Secretary of Agriculture, providing her with direct experience representing public and consumer interests within a governmental advisory setting.

Honeycutt brings more than 14 years of experience translating scientific and public-health information into education, policy initiatives, and community action. Under her leadership, Moms Across America has developed a nationwide network of community leaders, organized nearly 1,000 local events, trained advocates and speakers, collaborated with scientists, farmers, policymakers, nonprofit organizations, and international partners, and raised more than $3 million to support its work. She is the author of UNSTOPPABLE: Transforming Sickness and Struggle into Triumph, Empowerment, and a Celebration of Community, has written hundreds of articles on food and environmental health, and has spoken at congressional briefings, scientific and agricultural conferences, universities, and public forums in the United States and internationally. She also owns Love Rising Farm near Asheville, North Carolina, giving her direct experience with regenerative and organic food production. Her combination of consumer advocacy, food-system research, agricultural experience, organizational leadership, and direct engagement with federal and state policymakers provides a broad perspective on the intersection of public health, food safety, agriculture, environmental health, and consumer protection.
