About Lori Weintz

As a former State of Utah Investigator, and graduate from the University of Utah’s Department of Communication, Lori Weintz was poised to push back as the narrative of the Covid-19 pandemic flooded the world in March 2020. The daughter of a WWII veteran, Lori was raised with great respect for the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Seeing those rights trampled under the guise of a “public health emergency,” piqued Lori’s natural  tendency to question. Her observations of the harms being foisted on family, friends, and neighbors spurred her to research, write, and engage in outreach starting with her first article of April 2020, “The Politicization of the Pandemic.”

Thousands of research hours, and dozens of letters and articles followed as Lori attempted to bring common sense to the Covid dialogue and policies, reaching out to school boards, mayors, legislators, members of Congress, hospital administrators, doctors, media, and other public figures. Brownstone Institute gave Lori’s articles a wider audience, and led to her book,  Mechanisms of Harm: Medicine in the Time of Covid-19, which was published in April 2024.

About the talk

Lori will address how the official Covid response was a template and dress rehearsal for handling future “emergencies,” and discuss the reality of global forces that are working against freedom in the U.S. and throughout the world. She will lead a discussion on how we can respond to those around us who still believe the official narratives that are designed to keep us distracted and divided, and how to remain positive and proactive in a climate of uncertainty.
