We will meet at the bar from 5:30-6 p.m. and then go into the Bellini Room at 6 p.m. for the dinner.

Zoe Berg

Zoe Berg, Esq. is a 2024 graduate of Tulane University School of Law, where she focused on environmental law and telecommunications law. Ms. Berg received her BA from Barnard College, Columbia University in 2018, where she majored in environmental policy. Over the last decade, she has cultivated a deep passion for telecommunications infrastructure permitting reform, preserving local control over telecommunications infrastructure siting, and advocating for more stringent wireless radiation exposure limits in the United States. Ms. Berg is a full-time attorney with the Law Office of Robert J. Berg PLLC. She serves as a communications consultant and legal consultant for the EMR & Wireless Department at Children’s Health Defense. She is from Westchester County, NY, and is based in New York City.

Program description

There is a lot happening in Washington right now that could shape the future of wireless telecommunications infrastructure in communities across the United States. The telecommunications industry is pushing to further restrict the ability of municipalities to evaluate and regulate wireless facilities, while the Federal Communications Commission and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services are seeking public input on the health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. We will discuss the importance of responsible cell tower siting, the inadequacy of existing U.S. wireless radiation exposure limits, and what residents and local governments can do to defend their right to have a meaningful say in where wireless facilities are installed and advocate for stronger wireless radiation health protections.
