On Friday, July 31, 2026, the beloved West Hartford Supper Club – the first in the nation – is pleased to host one of America’s greatest champions of medical freedom and resistance to tyranny. Dr. Mary Talley Bowden has been on the front lines, and front pages, from the very beginning…a paid a huge price for being right. 

Note that this meeting is on Friday, not Wednesday as usual. We recommend getting tickets early due to high demand. 

She joins us for the first time, on the occasion of publication of her new book, Dangerous Misinformation. We’ll have some copies on hand. The title is ironic. Houston Methodist Hospital suspended her for “spreading dangerous misinformation.” Of course it was the wicked protocols of the hospital that were truly dangerous. 

Butterfly is the venue (the real Chinese stuff) with friends of Brownstone Institute. Come early for cocktails and meet Brownstone Institute friends, scholars, writers, and benefactors, and celebrate victories and discuss challenges ahead. The food is wonderful and the discussion brilliant. Casual and fun, even if some people come in fancier clothing.

Mary Talley Bowden, MD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat specialist) and sleep medicine physician based in Houston, Texas. She is best known for her independent direct-care practice, advocacy for medical freedom, and high-profile disputes with hospitals and medical authorities during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

In 2019, she founded BreatheMD (also referred to as Bowden ENT), a direct-care (third-party-free) clinic in Houston focusing on sinus, allergy, sleep, and airway issues with transparent pricing and holistic options. The practice emphasizes patient-first care without insurance, hospital, or government ties. She kept over 6,000 Covid-19 patients out of the hospital through early treatment protocols. 

Since then, she has established herself in media appearances as a ferocious champion of freedom and rights, and inspired many medical professionals to stand up to the intimidation by boards, professional associations, and institutions. We are thrilled to welcome her.
