About the Talk
We live in a world where our food systems are increasingly dominated by genetically modified organisms and pesticides. These elements are being integrated into our diets in ways that may affect children’s health profoundly. But how do GM foods and pesticides impact the developing bodies and minds of our youth? Is it contributing to rising health issues, or is it a necessary part of modern agriculture? Could the future of our children’s well-being be at stake? Can nutritious food prevent or heal disease? Join us to explore these questions and more.

About the Speaker
Michelle Perro, MD, DHom is a seasoned clinician with nearly 45 years of experience in pediatrics and integrative medicine, dedicated to treating children and families. A Yale graduate, she trained at Mount Sinai Medical School, Bellevue Hospital and NYU, later serving as Director of a Pediatric Hospital.
For the past 25 years, Dr. Perro has championed integrative approaches to health, focusing on the impact of GM foods and pesticides on children’s well-being.
She has lectured globally, and co-authored the acclaimed book What’s Making Our Children Sick?
Dr. Perro is CEO and co-founder of www.gmoscience.org, promoting food as medicine and regenerative health education. She also hosts the podcast, The New MDs and offers parenting resources through her website. Her upcoming book, Making Our Children Well is set for release in April, 2026.
