Events of the last few weeks have shocked Washington’s most powerful. After years of unrelenting lies, some new voices in town have started to tell the truth about the lockdowns, censorship, political persecution, the injections, and the abuse of science.
Brownstone Institute has pushed hard for this moment and we hope that we can count on your support to keep the momentum going. We have big plans for the new working groups, a team tasked with mapping a post-WHO world, more fellowships for cancelled scholars, and investigations on pharmaceutical safety, insofar as resources allow.
Your financial backing – we get no government money and establishment foundations have no interest – has made our work enormously effective, so much so that the long knives are out.
We began after governments at all levels – in cooperation with huge corporate interests – ruined essentially everything, smashed rights and liberties, and panicked the population into accepting an ineffective and dangerous medicine, later forced on people.
This broke all trust and confidence.
Governments ordered small enterprises, gyms, and churches closed, while keeping liquor and weed stores open. Students were locked out of schools. The people’s real health, physical and mental, took a deep dive.
Scientists were censored. Students were expelled. Professors were purged. Good journalists were replaced. The wrong people got in charge and dissidents within the government were threatened into silence.
It was a grim time. Despite the taboos and attempting silence of critics, the culture is slowly waking up to the reality of what happened.
There should be a huge cry from the establishment: Sorry, we were wrong!
But that, sadly, is not how it works. Instead, we are seeing the opposite. Kept institutions – universities, professional groups, trade associations – are rewarding the malefactors with awards and emoluments. Many of the perpetrators are hiding in elite enclaves for protection.
It’s just a matter of time before the truth is obvious. We won’t have to wait 20 years. It’s happening now.
We have come to realize that there was a political coup against the people, complete with grave attacks on dissenters, many of whom were and are associated with Brownstone Institute.
Let there be no doubt: our work has been influential and seen. This comes at a high cost.
Brownstone Institute is now being scapegoated for spearheading the resistance effort. The battle lines are drawn. We faced nonstop attacks from legacy media and its hired mouthpieces. More are planned and coming.
Such is inevitable. We won’t be cowed.
During the years since this disaster, and thanks to your support, Brownstone has published 19 books and thousands of articles, rescued 25 top writers and researchers in a Fellows program, organized nearly 100 events, consulted with countless top influencers, and been a center of community, networking, information sharing, and truth-telling – not only in the US but all over the world.
It’s remarkable what can be achieved with a small budget but oceans of moral passion and hard work.
That is what has made this institution a target. The Department of Homeland Security has released previously classified proof that the Biden administration specifically targeted people who did not go along. We await the full list but we can have no doubt that the names will be recognizable.
It seems inconceivable that something like this would happen, but remember that these were years in which powerful elites openly poked fun at the very idea of freedom itself. People who fought lockdowns, masking, and forced shots were deemed enemies of the state.
The temperature has gone down and some previously hidden documents are coming out. We await many more, and the ones most central to unraveling the puzzle of what happened are still classified and under lock and key.
Some people think that the battle is won. We have some good appointments, fine statements, and some movement in the right direction. Pharma has been taken down a peg or two and the big social media companies are posing as penitent.
So far, it’s mostly performance.
In truth, the pandemic plans are still in place to lock down again and distribute more versions of the mRNA shots. In many countries, even in the US, they are busy slaughtering livestock in the name of controlling infectious disease.
Even with some steps in the right direction, the odds of overcoming deep and well-heeled special interests are not in favor of freedom. That’s especially true if we let up now and declare victory. If that happens, we will face more disasters in the future.
These struggles are ongoing, brutal, and often terrifying.
Where does Brownstone stand in all of this? Where we always have. We were founded with a simple mission: to tell the truth about human freedom and the many ways in which it is under attack.
That job has become harder now that the resistance is mobilized, we are being targeted, and the friends of freedom in and out of government are more vulnerable than ever.
We need to prepare for the long battle ahead and in times that are more difficult and dicey than ever before.
We would like to count on your continued support. It is crucial that we not rest on laurels. Too many people think the hard part is over when in reality it has just begun.
We are operating right now at peak performance with continued Fellowships, publications, events, daily journal articles, supper clubs, and 20 channels of distribution. We need the resources to continue this work and ramp it up further with new working groups and projects.
We must be prepared to grant sanctuary for the brave speakers of truth should they face another purge.
What seems like victory is exceedingly fragile. Let’s not make this moment a brief pause between one totalitarianism and another. Let’s dream together of a new freedom, one that applies the lessons we’ve all learned and which the hidden ruling classes want to ignore.
This might be the only chance we have.
Brownstone Institute needs your support now more than ever. Will you join us in this new phase of work?
