About the Speaker: 

Jennifer Margulis, Ph.D., is an award-winning science journalist, book author, and Fulbright grantee. She is the author of Your Baby, Your Way (Scribner) and co-author, with Dr. Paul Thomas, of The Vaccine-Friendly Plan (Ballantine). Her books, have sold over 300,000 copies and been translated into several languages. Her articles have appeared in the New York Times, Wash Post, and the Smithsonian. About the Talk:  “We could not comply”: the unsung heroes who quietly (and not-so-quietly) resisted during COVID.   Remembering the heroes who questioned the narrative right from the start. These hidden heroes remained calm and clear-headed, able to put science, commonsense, and ethics above profits, fear porn, and the desire for control. But in the face of so much social pressure, ridicule, exclusion, and ostracism, how did ordinary people find the extraordinary courage not to comply?

In this lively and interactive talk by science journalist Jennifer Margulis, we will answer this question together and learn the recipe for Resisters’ Secret Sauce.
